Glad it’s sorted Jerome, if something like this happens again, it’s good to know how to use chroot, here’s the arch page: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/change_root - you can use this to switch a root environment to another device which means that you can boot from your install media and use chroot to change to your installed hard drive and make the system think that’s what you booted from so you can then run pacman commands etc. This may prevent you from needing to do a fresh install to fix something like this in the future.
